Most Christians would agree that the greatest gift Jesus gave us was that of eternal life. But Jesus described it in a way that reveals something about God's heart for relationship.

We don't obey Jesus to persuade Him to love us. We love because He first loved us, and as we grow in that relationship, we increasingly want our lives to reflect His heart.
