God's love rests upon something infinitely more reliable than my changing circumstances or emotions. His love is more secure than the news headlines, or the talks of lockdowns, or my feelings, or anything else. It is demonstrated in Jesus Christ.

Most Christians would agree that the greatest gift Jesus gave us was the gift of eternal life

We don't obey Jesus to persuade Him to love us. We love because He first loved us, and as we grow in that relationship, we increasingly want our lives to reflect His heart.
